emergency mistakes

1-don't give diuretics(lasix) to manage HTN , this will lead to rebound hypertension , by activation of renin angiotensin aldosterone system ,which lead to increase intravascular fluid (NA-WATER retention)

use ACIE like captopril capoten tab if pt <55 years or >55 with DM

or amilodipine >50 years and don't have DM

2-dont give furosemide lasix as direct iv in patient with heart failure + pulmonary edema , because this will lead to rebound pulmonary edema after some hrs (also increase risk of ototoxicity which side effect of furosemide), so give continuous iv infusion during 1 hr with 100cc fluid , first dose 20-50mg in heart failure (0.5-1mg/kg) with maximum 200mg per dose (maximum daily dose 1.5g)

first dose 20-50mg , after 2 hrs you can increase dose by 20mg + (lasix amp 20mg/2cc)
